This was not updated for 2024 but is still pretty much what's available.  The rates are from 2012:

There's more places around than you might expect. If you're not a camper and looking for a room, I suggest you book as soon as possible. Reservations can be difficult to come by. Here's some suggestions:

• Deer Watch Inn - http://www.deerwatchinn.com/ B&B very close by, near Dean's Mills (closed)  This is now offered on AirBnB but I think you have to take the whole house.
• Rainbow Golf Club Inn & Suites - http://www.rainbowgolfclub.com/ in Greenville
• The Shamrock House - http://www.shamrockhouse.com/ in East Durham, see note below!
• The Van Winkle Inn - http://www.vanwinkleinn.com/ B&B very close by, where Blue Churn/Country Gentleman was, This is now called Blue Churn Guest House, just opened 2024
• Greenville Arms - http://www.greenvillearms.com/ B&B in Greenville
• Hollowbrook Motel - http://www.hollowbrookinn.com/ just south of Greenville
• Grace Manor - http://www.gracemanor.com/ just south of Greenville, a bit old & beat up

They have 5 guest rooms with a clean comfortable country decor.  Rates run from $77 to $157 per night.   May be able to rent the whole house through AirBnB.

 Rainbow Golf Club Inn & Suites offers suites with a kitchen & separate bedroom.
There is also a restaurant and golf course on the premises!

  

The Shamrock House is in the heart of Irish East Durham.

Their Pub offers live entertainment on the weekends.

 

Rates listed are for weekend package that includes meals. There are a number of different buildings up & down the road that have different types of rooms. The manager told me that the nightly rate for a room with no meals is $99 for large motel or $79 for small motel rooms.

NOTE: Shamrock House has a new building called Shady Maple which has 4 lg motel rooms with their own bathrooms, 3 sm motel rooms that share 2 baths, a living room and kitchen that the rooms share. If we book all 7 rooms he'll reduce the rate too. This sounds like a wonderful set up!

VanWinkle Inn is a brand new B&B furnished with lovely antiques.

 

 Rooms rates run from $139 to $199 a night.  Just reopened in 2024 as Blue Churn Guest House.

Greenville Arms offers lovely rooms, grounds and swimming pool.

Room rates run from $115 to $235 a night.

  

A small brook runs between the main building and the buildings behind it.

 

Hollowbrook Motel is next to the old drive-in (now closed).
There is a restaurant but it's usually pretty empty.
